Our Story
🍓 Our Story 🍓
Our Beginnings
Stitches ’N’ Beads Loft began with a love of handmade things — pieces with character, colour and a human touch you can feel.
I founded Stitches ’N’ Beads Loft with a belief that handmade creations can connect people across cultures, communities, and continents.
What began with a love of creative expression grew, market by market and collection by collection, into a small business built around imagination, discovery, and the joy of finding something special.
From the beginning, the heart of Stitches ’N’ Beads Loft has been creativity, craftsmanship, and connection — celebrating thoughtful details, playful designs, and the joy of finding something special.
In 2024, that journey found a home in Leavenworth, Washington, where our little shop became a colorful destination for crochet creations, beads, wearable accessories, and imaginative gifts.
Today, Stitches ’N’ Beads Loft is still guided by the same simple idea: handmade things carry stories, and the best shops help you find the one that feels like yours.
🍓 The Birth of Berry Patch 🍓
Berry Patch grew from that same love of handmade treasures. One tiny crochet friend led to another, and soon a whole little world began to take shape — a tiny village where every pal has a story.
Berry Patch is where imagination leads: collectible handmade pals, character-matched beads and charms, and small treasures that invite you to create, gift and return to the Patch again and again. It is playful without being childish and nostalgic without standing still — a world built slowly, by hand, and with room for everyone.
There's always room in the Patch for one more friend.
🍓 A Little Note From Our Founder 🍓
Behind the cheerful colors and tiny crochet animals of Berry Patch is a small business that has weathered more than a few storms.
In December 2025, devastating floods in Leavenworth, Washington, upended our home and business just as we entered one of our most important seasons.
In May 2026, powerful winds destroyed our booth while we were vending at the Gorge Amphitheatre, leaving us to pick up the pieces once again.
In September, another severe storm disrupted our business during the Anjuna event at the Gorge — yet another unexpected setback.
Three storms. Three difficult chapters. And through every one of them, we kept going.
Through it all, we kept creating, rebuilding, and bringing our vision for Berry Patch to life — a little world filled with friendship, imagination, and joy.
Our recovery is still ongoing, and our GoFundMe remains open for anyone who would like to help. There is never any obligation to contribute. Every order, kind word, and person who shares our little world helps us move forward.

Thank you for believing in small businesses, handmade treasures, and the beautiful things that can grow after a storm.
